Happy New Year! As we start 2019, many of us will make New Year’s resolutions — lose weight, buy a new car, learn a new skill. One thing that some people may forget as a goal is finance. Having a financial plan can help you achieve your other goals. And, the TradeSmith suite of tools can help you with that.

Today, we’ll do a quick review of some tools in each product that can potentially help you save more while risking less.

TradeStops

Many long-time TradeSmith customers know that TradeStops is our flagship program. It’s the one that started it all. One of its most unique features is its alerting system. If you set an alert on a position, we send you an email about it automatically when that alert is triggered.

Once you get the alert, you can then decide if you want to sell the position. Remember, the alerts should act as your call to action. You set up the alerts, based on your personal strategy, to know when it’s best for you to exit the position and not take a large loss (or lose your gains).

And, our research tools can help you further manage your investments.

When you get the chance, check out some of these tools. Nothing you do with them will break TradeStops — or make changes to your portfolio. You might be surprised at what you find.

Ideas by TradeSmith

Market Health within Ideas by TradeSmith can give you an overall idea of how things are going in the market.

Market Outlook will tell you the overall SSI status of the various indexes for both U.S. and international markets.

You can click any of these markets to see a more detailed breakdown. As a bonus, you can take a deep-dive into these markets anytime you see a blue pair of binoculars. Clicking the binocular icon brings you to the Stock Finder. From there, you can review the stocks found within that market. It’s a great way to find new stocks that you may never have thought of before.

Crypto By TradeSmith

The crypto markets have been difficult lately; we can’t deny that. But it’s still possible to find good cryptos. Many newsletters recommend various cryptocurrencies and you can use Crypto by TradeSmith to analyze those recommendations.

Our system can look at these publishers:

  • TradeSmith
  • Agora Financial
  • Palm Beach Research Group
  • Southbank Investment Research
  • Banyan Hill
  • Stansberry Pacific Research
  • Casey Research

If you’re subscribed to one of these newsletters, you’re good to go. You just need to sync your publisher account with us, and then you’ll see the recommendations. From there, our system will display the CSI status, VQ, advice, and much more for the position. It can really make your decision much easier.

But, of course, make sure to do your research on a cryptocurrency before making a purchase. Try reviewing the whitepaper for any crypto before purchasing it. This will help you decide if you want to support their mission or decide if another crypto might be better for you.

Bulletin Board

As a head’s up, we wanted to again remind you that you may receive false SSI alerts over the next couple of weeks due to special year-end dividends. The challenge is that our data provider experiences delays receiving notice of these dividends. We continue to press for a resolution, but the delays are stemming from the notifications sent by the markets directly.

In today’s Insider Update, we’ve given you some general resolutions for the new year. If you’re looking for more specific financial resolutions, TradeSmith has some great ideas. Make sure to read his Resolutions editorial. It has some fantastic financial ideas.

In our commitment to always improving our products, we’ve added a new newsletter.

American Moonshots newsletter section

It’s the Stansberry American Moonshots newsletter. If you’re subscribed, you’ll be able to access it in the Newsletter center of TradeStops.
